Subject: Hiss
I give this show 5 stars just for the hiss. These shows are recorded on tape and should include tape hiss. The lower the hiss the lower my rating.

Subject: 5 PIGPEN SONGS = 5 STARS
Okay so everybody at this concert probably drank enough "electric kool-aid" to see GOD in HD.

Audio quality aside...(for 69, it's not that bad stop comparing everything to CD's).

What we have here is a PIGPEN fest...

Hard To Handle, Good Lovin', Easy Wind, Alligator, Turn On Your Lovelight.

Probably the only sane person at this show was Pigpen...all the rest probably bought a first class ticket to never ever land...with free refreshments...in garbage cans filled with "electric kool-aid".

If you have not downloaded this show by now, seek immediate medical help, first thing tomorrow...

There is enough Pigpen here to give this show 5 stars easily and it sounds like TC is playing keyboards at this show too.

1969, no super sound system. 1969, no super monitor system. 1969, tube amps,
ludwig drums,gongs, electricity and talent.

Here's the GRATEFUL DEAD I knew...nice to hear it like it used to be. Back when Pigpen would conduct the show...and the DEAD were his back up band.

If you don't mind me saying....., can I please have more PIGPEN?

More ALLIGATOR...come on man....don't make me beg.

I'd download this show.....If I were you,

Get it while you can, get it while it's free, get it NOW, or you'll be sorry.

Eat, drink, be merry and listen to the GRATEFUL DEAD.

TURN ON YOUR LOVELIGHT and LEAVE IT ON!

Best Uncle John's Jam out of the few that were ever done.

Subject: hissy fit
oh well....too bad the tape is hissing..this is another great 69 performance at a great venue...funny how one night can differ so much from a recording standpoint.....they are really playing this stuff---- laid back------!!! if not for the royal hiss----5

Notes

The sound is not as full or crisp as many others from '69 with a similiar lineage, but the mix is stable and there are very few blemishes. Sound Forge was used for normalization and minor edits.
